turn off all power to supply wall, both wall switch and circuit breaker. Do not touch live wires. If there is a ceiling fan in place, disassemble. Make sure that placement of airplane ceiling fan is at least 30 inches from any obstruction and at least 7 feet above ground. Last thing you want is for fan to hit someone in head while on move.

Locate mounting bracket and hook “J” on your airplane ceiling fan kit. Screw “J” hook in ceiling plate for secondary support. Attach mounting plate to outlet box with screws and washers supplied in kit. Arrows on its mounting plate must be aligned with which you want dashboard of your fan-to-face. If you are not riding an outlet box, use wood screws for mounting directly to a beam or joist.
